Best Video Guidelines/Rules
The following are recommendations and other guidelines for submitting a video for the Best Video Competition:
- Chapters can have multiple videos that end up as a Best Video nominee
- Deadline: Fall entries are due by 11:59 PM CDT on December 16, 2011; Spring entries are due by 11:59 PM CDT on March 16, 2012
- Length: While longer videos are accepted, most best videos will be around 1-3 minutes in length
- Format: Most video formats are accepted
- Topic/Content: The topic and content of videos can vary. However, please keep in mind the following guidelines to ensure your video is eligible:
- DON'T mention your state or school/chapter - you should develop videos that can be used by all chapters and promoted by all states through AMASavesLives and DonateLife America
- Please use the AMASavesLives and DonateLife America logo within your video
- DON'T use any audio or images that may be copyrighted (only use original material or items you have a documented license to use and can provide to AMASavesLives/DonateLife America)
- Mention the AMASavesLives website (www.amasaveslives.com)
Who is Eligible?
Anyone from your AMA Chapter can submit a video on behalf of your chapter. You can also encourage other students from your campus, family members, or other friends to get involved and submit videos on behalf of your chapter. These videos will count toward your Chapter’s total video submissions as long as the individual designates your Chapter during the submission process.
Video Submission Process
You can use our video submission upload page to upload your video and identify your chapter. Once you enter the information and agree to release the content of your video to the AMASavesLives project/Donate Life America, your video will be submitted for review.
All videos are subject to a review process (approved by donation experts) and will be posted on the AMASavesLives YouTube channel within two business days. You will receive an email with your video link once it is available on our YouTube channel.
Videos will be accpeted based on the date they are uploaded to the AMASavesLives website. Videos uploaded to other YouTube channels will not count toward the video competitions.
