Dear American Marketing Association Member,
Does your Chapter have what it takes to Save a Life?
Did you know there are more than 104,000 people on the national waiting list for a life-saving organ transplant? Or that every 11 minutes someone is added to that list? Maybe someone you know in your family, in your American Marketing Association Chapter, or on your campus? Sadly, each day, 19 people on the transplant waiting list die due to the shortage of available organs. But we all have the ability to make a difference in someone’s life through the gift of organ and tissue donation. By signing up you can become part of the solution – together we can save lives.
We would like to extend an invitation to your AMA Chapter to become part of an important national initiative that can literally Save Lives, the AMASavesLives Project. This challenge sponsored by the Collegiate American Marketing Association is designed to educate campus communities and your family and friends on the importance of organ donation. The goal of the campaign is to register over 50,000 new organ donor designations nationally by August 2010. If every AMA member tells 5 people who end up registering their consent we will reach our goal!
As you begin planning for your Spring semester, we would like your chapter to consider getting involved in the AMASavesLives Project. There are many different ways you can get involved and help us spread the message. To learn more visit www.AMASavesLives.com/getinvolved.php. Don’t forget to also check out the four AMA sponsored competitions related to this project that will be awarded at the International Collegiate Conference in April 2010. To learn more about these competitions and to view samples of entries make sure to visit www.AMASavesLives.com/Competition.php.
Please feel free to contact us at help@amasaveslives.com with questions. It is our hope that you will join us as we strive to register 50,000 new donor registrants nationally.
